Because of variations in the way committees
capture data – DU may be duplicating as many as 150,000. |
As a result, DU fails to accurately track and
communicate with its members. |
Due to inaccurate data, DU regularly sends
renewal notices to members who recently attended events, fails to recognize
continuous years of membership, and produces and mails a wide variety of
other inappropriate communications. |
Committees are unable to accurately invite
attendees of prior events to future activities. |
A new method of membership capture and reporting
is needed. |
This new method should focus on reducing the
amount of effort required by the volunteer, and seek to capture more
complete and accurate data from attendees. |
In order to overcome the current problems, this
method should seek to establish a DU Member ID number that is unique to
each member and can be remembered and provided by members at events. |
